Searching & Filtering Receipts

The receipt list page includes the same powerful search, filter, and saved view tools available across Mod AI. Use them to quickly find the receipts you need.

The search bar at the top of the receipt list lets you search by:

  • Receipt number -- Type a full or partial receipt number to find matching results.
  • Vendor name -- Search by vendor to find all receipts from a specific supplier.
  • PO number -- Search by the associated purchase order number.

Start typing and the list filters in real time. Clear the search field to show all receipts again.

Filters

Click the Filters button to narrow the receipt list by specific criteria:

FilterWhat It Does
StatusShow only receipts with a specific status (Open, Closed, Voided)
VendorShow receipts from a specific vendor or set of vendors
Date RangeShow receipts created within a specific date range

You can combine multiple filters at the same time. For example, filter by "Open" status and a specific vendor to see all active receipts for that supplier.

To remove a filter, click the X next to it or click Clear All Filters.

Column Customization

You can control which columns appear in the receipt list:

  1. Click the Columns button (or column settings icon) above the table.
  2. Check or uncheck columns to show or hide them.
  3. Your column preferences are saved for your account.

This is useful if you want to add additional columns or hide columns that are not relevant to your workflow.

Sorting

Click any column header to sort the receipt list by that column. Click again to reverse the sort order. An arrow icon on the column header indicates the current sort direction.

Common sorting options:

  • Sort by Date to see the most recent or oldest receipts first.
  • Sort by Vendor to group receipts alphabetically by supplier.
  • Sort by Status to group receipts by their current state.

Saved Views

If you frequently use the same combination of filters, column settings, and sorting, save it as a view so you do not have to set it up every time.

Creating a Saved View

  1. Set up your filters, columns, and sorting the way you want.
  2. Click Save View.
  3. Give the view a name (e.g., "Open Receipts - This Month").
  4. Click Save.

Using a Saved View

Saved views appear in a dropdown above the receipt list. Select a view to instantly apply its filters, columns, and sort order.

Editing or Deleting a Saved View

To update a saved view, apply it, make your changes, and save it again with the same name. To delete a saved view, open the view dropdown and click the delete icon next to the view name.

tip

Create a saved view for "Open Receipts" to quickly see all receipts that are still available for three-way matching. This helps you track which received goods have not yet been invoiced.
